CJ Ramone, who is no-doubt best known for his seven year stint as bass player for the Ramones up until the end of their run in 1996, has posted a series of photos indicating that he’s currently in the studio laying down some new tracks. It appears as though the band that backed CJ on his debut full length, “Reconquista,” is back this time around, as the legendary Steve Soto (The Adolescents, Agent Orange) is pictured recording some guitar.
We’ll keep you posted as more information becomes available surrounding the album and some upcoming tour dates. For now, click here to see CJ’s updates.
“Reconquista” was self-released (and later put out by Pirates Press Records) in 2012, and also featured appearances from Johnny “Two Bags” Wickersham and David Hidalgo from Social Distortion, Jay Bentley from Bad Religion, Marcus Hollar (ex-Street Dogs) and more. Check it out here.
