Given that this band was one of my favorite discoveries of 2010 I’m not entirely sure how I feel about this yet, but Australia’s Backyard Surgeons have apparently gone out and gotten themselves a new singer. Matt Goldsmith has stepped in to fill Morgan Boal’s shoes as the band’s new vocalist, and while this concerns me as a fan who actually liked the old vocalist, I’m also pretty excited about the second half of this story. The band is apparently in the studio recording new tracks. Not much known other than that but we’ll keep you posted.
Backyard Surgeons put out their debut EP, “Totally Numb,” last year on When’s Lunch Records.
