We wrote on Thursday that Bad Religion was releasing their free live album on May 18th. If you haven’t signed up, you can still do so by going here.
Other details about the album were released today. The band writes,
-Fans will have a choice of the following formats: FLAC, Apple Lossless, variable bitrate MP3 (hi and low), Variable bitrate AAC (hi and low), 320-bit MP3.
-The album will come with minimal artwork more suitable for an mp3 device than printout but I suppose some folks will want to print it. It will be limited to one “front cover” image.
-The unique download codes will be delivered along with liner notes via email.
-Songs were left untouched wherever possible; editing and overdubbing were done at an absolute minimum so what you’ll hear is a very pure live recording and no parts were added. Mixing duties were handled by the great Mike Fraser at The Warehouse in Canada. We’ve not yet mastered.
-There are no plans to release the album on CD but we’ve toyed with the idea of doing some vinyl later in the year.
I’m pretty stoked about the new album. The shows at HOB were killer and the new tracks sound great. If you haven’t gone to the new Bad Religion website, you definitely need to check it out!
