Ontario alt punk stars Billy Talent have announced that they will be releasing a new album (which they have clarified will NOT be named “Billy Talent IV”).
In a video announcement the band also addressed drummer Aaron Solowoniuk’s open heart surgery in February, and that he is doing much better and recovering well. We continue to wish him the very best.
In addition to a full tour of Germany, the band has promised additional tour dates all over the world and is in the process of planning trips to “see everybody.”
“With life happening,” states singer Ben Kowalewicz, the band’s new album is taking longer than they thought to release (it was supposed to be released in July 2011), but finishing touches are finally being placed. A single will be released at the end of this month as a thank-you to patient fans.
The new album will follow up their latest album, “Billy Talent III” released in July of 2009 on Roadrunner Records. Check out the band’s video announcement here, as well as the newly announced German tour dates over here.
