Bad Religion drummer Brooks Wackerman announced on his Facebook page that he will be filling in for Josh Freese in The Vandals when both bands embark on the Summer Nationals tour, which begins on Tuesday, with The Offspring and Pennywise. Wackerman wrote:
“i’m starting the summer nationals tour(U.S.CANADA) this tuesday with bad religion. You can also find me playing with “the vandals” an hour before..the old double dippy”
Freese has not explained why he will not tour with The Vandals. We’ll keep you posted as more details on the situation come to light.
The Vandals are reportedly planning on releasing new music sometime this year. They have not released an album since 2004’s Hollywood Potato Chip.
