Civet tour van involved in a highspeed chase and shoot out. Caught on tape!

Alright, this story would be a lot cooler if Civet was in a high speed chase and shoot out instead of just their van but it’s still kinda interesting.

After just having returned from a Canadian Tour the band’s white Ford Econoline van was stolen in the early hours of yesterday morning.  Some details are missing as to how the band discovered the van was missing and how exactly the cops tracked it down but apparently the suspect ended up leading the police on a chase that started in Long Beach and ended in a watery crash with a fire hydrant and included gunfire, in the city of Paramount. At one point the “band van” was even seen driving the wrong way on the 91 fwy.

“We are just thankful to have unloaded almost all the equipment 2 days ago. It could have been a lot worse. That was a close call!” says guitarist Suzi Stefano. And this van has a had more than its share of close calls in the past weeks as another attempt at theft had been made when the girls were passing through Edmonton, Alberta on Halloween.

The best part?  It’s on tape!  Check it out here.
