John Lydon, a.k.a Johnny Rotten, mentioned during an interview with Stereogum that he is open to the idea of reuniting the Sex Pistols again, and maybe to writing new material. The band has reunited several times over the years, but only to play their old songs.
It might not be any time soon, however. Lydon has been taking a break to deal with the 2010 death of his step-daughter, The Slits’ Ari Up.
The idea of reuniting the Pistols was inspired by some successful reunion gigs with his other band, Public Image Limited. Lydon released a limited-edition coffee table book, “Mr. Rotten’s Scrapbook.” Read the full interview here.
