Crumbsuckers to reunite for next year’s Black N’ Blue Bowl

New York crossover icons Crumbsuckers have announced that they will reunite for at least one performance at next year’s Black N’ Blue Bowl, which will take place May 16-17th, 2015 at Webster Hall in New York City. Crumbsuckers bassist and founding member Gary Meskil comments:

“It’s so true! We are thrilled and fortunate to be able to reunite Crumbsuckers for Black N’ Blue Bowl 2015! The last time we hit the stage together was for a full house at B.B. King’s (New York City) in 2006, and in 2015 we plan for another strong showing and to represent the band in true form once again!”

It is currently not clear if the Black N’ Blue Bowl show will be a one-off, or the Crumbsuckers plan to release new material, but we’ll keep you posted as more details on their reunion come to light.

The Crumbsuckers, who released only two studio albums in their initial career (1986’s Life of Dreams and 1988’s Beast on My Back), first broke up in 1989 and shortly resurfaced under the name Heavy Rain before briefly reviving the Crumbsuckers name in 1990 and again in 2006. After the Crumbsuckers’ second breakup in the early 90’s, the rhythm section of Gary Meskil and Dan Richardson went on to form Pro-Pain, while Chuck Lenihan ended up with The Genitorturers.
