Later this week, Cincinnati-based pop punks, 7 Minute Martians will be releasing their debut album, Curious. To get you stoked, the boys sent over the third single from the forthcoming freshman offering (due out 3/15) exclusively for Dying Scene reader! The track, “Smoked Out” is a melodic, lyrically-emotional, yet upbeat track with tight, Blink-182-esque harmonies. When asked about the new single, guitarist/vocalist Wil Viars told us, “This is a song about decaying love and one of my favorites off of the record. I like the metaphor of comparing a relationship to being in a burning building and a high-speed car chase in the chorus. The third verse will always hit me hard, as it’s about my mother’s suicide.” Check it out below!
