Michale Graves, former lead singer of the post-Glenn Danzig Misfits, just begun using Kickstarter to fundraise his new solo album, Vagabond, which drops on March 21, 2013, his 38th birthday. He comments:
“I have been a performer for 17 years and have had the chance to travel the world and experience so many incredible people along the way. I live for performing and have been on tour so much that I haven’t had the ability to record a new album in over four years. Working in conjunction with Kickstarter, I now have the ability to access those who mean the most — my fans — and create something unique for them.”
Graves will enter Soundmine Recording Studio in November to begin tracking Vagabond, which will be produced by Hydraulic Entertainment, will feature 11 new and never-before-released songs that display Michale’s unique folk/pop sensibility. The album will not be available at any other point of distribution, making this release an exclusive, limited-edition album.
Graves last released Halifax Live at the Musicroom in 2009, while The Misfits (now featuring guitarist and founding member Jerry Only on vocals) released their last album The Devil’s Rain exactly a year ago. You can check out our review of that album, which was published a month after its release.
