Every Friday the punk rock geniuses here at Dying Scene are going to unleash a little bit of punk scene trivia all over your asses. Today’s “fun factoid” is the Swedish kings of “softcore”, Millencolin, and their debut full-length that got them in legal hot water.
In 1994 Millencolin recorded and mixed their first full-length release in two weeks and released it under the title “Tiny Tunes”. The name and cover art were a parody of a popular (at the time) Warner Brothers cartoon called “Tiny Toons”. Unfortunately, the media giant ended up threatening legal action against the band and as a result Millencolin was forced to rename the album to “Same Old Tunes” in 1996.
