Today is the 30th anniversary of the release of Suicidal Tendencies‘ self-titled debut album. In celebration of the anniversary, you can either listen to the self-titled album in its entirety or watch a video of the band’s April 1983 performance at The Rollerworks in Chatsworth, California here.
Suicidal Tendencies was originally released on Frontier Records on July 5, 1983. It has been hailed by critics as a classic hardcore punk album, and contains the classics like “Institutionalized”, “I Saw Your Mommy”, “I Shot the Devil”, “Two Sided Politics”, “Subliminal” and “Memories of Tomorrow”. The lineup for the recording was Mike Muir on vocals, Grant Estes on guitar, Louiche Mayorga on bass and Amery Smith on drums.
Suicidal Tendencies’ latest album, 13, was released last March. It is their first studio album with all-new material since 2000’s Free Your Soul and Save My Mind, and is said to be the first of the three albums they completed back in November 2011.
