Help Chuck Ragan bring music to refugees

Help Chuck Ragan bring music to refugees

If you happen to be in Munch on November 6th this bit of news is for you (and just generally interesting for the rest of us). Singer songwriter and vocalist to the legendary Hot Water Music, Chuck Ragan, has announced a special show for the refugee children there at Refugio E.v. Not only will Chuck and Joe Gaunt perform a set consisting of their own songs as well as some songs for the children but are also asking fans to come and donate old musical instruments to the kids. You can check out Chuck’s full statement and find the details here.

Hey friends,

I just wanted to let you know about a very special event on November 6th in Munich.

On that day Jon Gaunt and I are visiting the “Eine Welt Haus“ in Munich to play an acoustic concert for a group of kids with a refugee background in association with “Fluechtlingshilfe Bavaria” and the
Refugio e.V. (
This will happen before our show with The Gaslight Anthem that evening.
We’ll be playing some of my own songs as well as songs from all over the world for and together with the kids! We’re very much looking forward to this afternoon as this is going to be a very special show for the children. Get more details on the show HERE.

Please note: This show is going to be a benefit and fundraising show for the people at Refugio e.V. and I have a special wish:

If you are able, please bring old musical instruments of any kind for the kids no matter how big or small, old or new. My intention is to
donate at least 1 instrument to each and every refugee in this room.
This would be a wonderful gift from us to them!
Either way, if you have an old guitar, violin, flute or drum in the basement or attic collecting dust – please bring it and let’s give it a good home!

Those who can`t donate an instrument are welcome to donate some money at the door. Please come early. This room only holds space for 50 extra people. First come, first serve. If you can’t get in, of course your donations will be more than welcomed and very much appreciated by all.

Looking forward so much to this. See you there.

All the best friends,
Chuck Ragan
