Florida’s mysterious rock rebels Against Me recently did an interview in which they discuss their departure from ailing record label Warner US, and while frontman Tom Gabel is not worried at all, he is pointing some serious fingers. Accusing the label of mishandling the band, Gabel says that “every radio station in Canada played the unfinished version of ‘I Was A Teenage Anarchist’ because someone fucked up. And it’s just like, are you sure you’re paying attention to what you’re doing?”
On top of losing their label, the band has at least temporarily lost drummer George Rebelo, previously of Hot Water Music, due to that band’s upcoming Australian tour dates. According to Gabel, “he’s the drummer of Hot Water Music you know so it’s not like us firing out our drummer or anything like that”.
