Winnipeg-based G7 Welcoming Committe Records has long been a bastion for all-things politically-charged punk rock. Label head Chris Hannah (most likely better known for his “day job” as vocalist/guitarist for Propagandhi) recently gave a Canadian TV station a pretty extensive interview on the label’s philosophy and history. It includes a list of his favorite releases from the G7 catalog as well as some insight on an album he hoped to release but never got the chance to.
Pretty good read – check it out here.
