Lostprophets frontman denied bail on charges of child sex offense; to stay in police custody until December 31st

According to recent reports, Lostprophets frontman Ian Watkins has been denied bail and is set to be held in police custody until December 31st after being charged with multiple accounts of child sex offense and other sex crimes. Here’s a snipped of a news article regarding Watkins’ case:

“The charges are related to a period beginning on May 1st 2012 and this Monday. Watkins’ barrister Tom Crowther told the court that the musician will be denying the charges, but he was denied bail and must remain in custody until December 31. The two women who stand accused of conspiring with Watkins are between the ages of 20 and 24 but cannot be named for legal reasons. All three defendants will appear before Cardiff Crown Court at the end of the month.”

We’ll keep you posted as more details on this story surface. Lostprophets last released their fifth album Weapons earlier this year via Fearless Records.
