Man Overboard details their upcoming future plans

Barely having signed to Rise (Seriously, we only posted it 5 minutes ago) Man Overboard have also release details of their plans for the 2011. The band is already hard at work on their upcoming full-length but have a couple of cool, little things planned before they release that include a compilation of all the releases before “Real Talk” (and some brand new songs) as well as a 7’inch for Rise Records.

The band’s touring schedule will also not be any less busy than it was this year with a European tour planned with label-mates Transit.  If you don’t happen to be in Europe and/or  just can’t wait to see them before the new year rolls around they will be playing at the The Lost Tape Collective Holiday show in Philadelphia with Transit, Hostage Calm, Balance & Composure and Vinnie Caruana.

You can read it straight from the horse’s mouth here.

“Man Overboard is pleased to announce our signing to Rise Records. We are excited to join the roster, along with Transit, Piebald, This Is Hell and a few other great bands they will be announcing this week. It was only a year ago that we signed with Run For Cover and released the Dahlia EP, Noise From Upstairs EP and our debut full-length, Real Talk. We have already started to write our sophomore LP that will see a 2011 release on both Rise AND Run For Cover Records. Previous to that new LP we will release a yet-to-be-titled compilation LP on Run For Cover that features Dahlia, Noise From Upstairs, Real Talk B-Sides, a Promise Ring cover and two brand new songs as well as a new 7” on Rise that has yet to be titled.

We pride ourselves on having a relentless work ethic and are proud to be a part of Rise’s roster. Matthew, Craig and Sean all value their position at the label as a lifestyle and not just a job. We have always worked with people who are going to constantly push themselves to do better and great things and these guys have proven to do just that.

2011 will prove to be our busiest year to date as we already have several releases and world-wide touring coming up. We rounded out 2010 by playing four US dates with H2O before heading to the UK and Europe with our buds Transit and All Or Nothing. We are happy to have Basement, Smile & Burn and Starters, some of our Lost Tape Collective and City Of Gold label mates out with us for a few of those days. We will celebrate what has been the best year of our lives with the Lost Tape Collective holiday show on December 30th in Philadelphia at the First Unitarian Church with Fireworks, Balance & Composure, Vinnie Caruana (of The Movielife), Transit and Hostage Calm.

Thank you for an amazing 2010, we could not be more excited for next year.
