Contrary to earlier reports that Blink-182 were in the studio rehearsing, bassist/vocalist Mark Hoppus revealed to Idobi that the band has not yet started recording their long-awaited new album, which will be their first since 2011’s Neighborhoods. He explained:
“Well, here’s the thing. The other day, Tom was on his way to rehearsal…it got picked up by all of these news outlets like USA Today. I had family members calling me.
We haven’t started recording it yet. We’re showing each other ideas, but it’s still a ways off.”
Blink-182 last self-released an EP entitled Dogs Eating Dogs in December of 2012, after parting ways with Interscope Records.
