I was at the excellent Stuck On A Name Studios last week to watch Wolfbeast Destroyer again. It was a cracking gig and one of the highlights was Prolefeed. I didn’t know much about them besides one of the members was also in War All The Time, so I was expecting some proper brutal hardcore. Well I wasn’t disappointed, they played a great set; raw and aggressive DIY hardcore punk. I went straight over to buy the new LP “The Mass Forfeiture of Collective Responsibility”, I’ve just given it a spin and it’s fast as fuck. Lovely stuff. Check it out below.

London punkers Dissociates have announced the release of their first full length album titled “A Capital Idea”. The album is set to be released on November 10th via Safety Second Records. The lyrics focus on issues around the world but a lot of it is based around the decay of London; but guitarist Ned Mendez said:

“We play a lot of benefits for homeless charities and leftwing causes, that’s definitely in our wheelhouse and where we come from – but musically we don’t want to ever be too preachy. Nobody wants to be lectured.”

To celebrate the announcement, they have released a new music video for “Useless Wooden Toys”, which is taken from the forthcoming album. You can watch it below. You can also find a list of tour dates as the band are hitting the road in November to support the album release.

Speak The Truth… Even If Your Voice Shakes are made up of members from Senses Fail and Finch and they have just announced details of their upcoming debut album “Everyone You Love Will Slip Away From You”.

Guitarist Daniel Wonacott had this to say about the band:

“We were all really excited to see how a Finch/Senses Fail combo would sound. As the record came together I think we all figured out that, ‘Wow! This sounds new and fresh, something neither of our other bands have done. To me, the album feels like home; the songs came together in a very natural way, I wasn’t concerned about writing for a specific sound, we just did what came naturally.”

The band are streaming the first two tracks over at Pledge Music titled “Crash My Car” and “Go For The Throat”; listen to them here.

Kicking the night off with a belter of a record! Bratakus are a two piece Scottish punk act that are well worth your attention! The two sisters play straight up bratty punk rock that’s full of attitude. I must say it’s one of the best records I’ve heard in the last couple of months and I can’t wait to catch them playing in Sheffield next month. I’ve heard they do a great cover of “Animals and Two Veg” by crust legends Cress as well. So take some time out of your day and give “Target Grrrl” a listen below. Underneath you can also find a list of upcoming gigs.
