Punk Goes Pop 3 announced

The guys at Fearless Records have done it again. The Punk Goes… series continues with Punk Goes Pop 3. Started back in 2000 with Punk Goes Metal, this series has been a compilation of punk, rock, emo, and alternative bands covering a plethora of songs made famous over the past 30 or so years. But the covers will be delving into the Top 40 charts once again. Check out the tracklisting here.

If cover songs by punk bands pique your curiosity, head on over to the Punk Goes… MySpace to check out all the releases. While the songs being covered by the various bands are starting to become predictable, I would still recommend checking out a few of the earlier releases.

The last release in the series, Punk Goes Classic Rock, was released April of this year.
