Madison, Wisconsin emo/indie rockers Rainer Maria have announced that they have reformed, and will play their first show in eight years at the Bowery Ballroom in New York City on New Year’s Eve. Tickets will be available this Friday. It is currently not known if Rainer Maria will play any more shows or record new music, or whether the Bowery Ballroom show will be a one-off, but we’ll keep you updated.
Rainer Maria broke up in 2006, shortly after the release of their last album Catastrophe Keeps Us Together.
