Rise Against’s 10th Anniversary Show

Rise Against’s 10th Anniversary Show

rise-against-bandLast night, Rise Against announced that they will be playing a 10th Anniversary Show on December 18th at the Metro in their hometown of Chicago. Joining them will be Bollweevils and Noise By Numbers.

Not only are these boys good musicians, but also quite charitable because all the money raised for this show is going to be donated to the Intonation Music Workshop in Chicago. And whats the best part? The show is going to focus not on their newest hits, but the classics from the beginning of their career ! You’ll be able to hear songs you thought you’d never have the chance to catch live. Read the Full Story for a statement from the band and check out the Dying Scene Shows page to find out the exact location.

Interscope Records dropped their last album, “Appeal To Reason” in 2008.

“It’s hard to believe it’s been almost ten years since we first planted the seeds of what would eventually become Rise Against. To celebrate, we thought we’d dust off some songs we haven’t played in awhile and bring them to our favorite venue in the city that gave birth to this band. Whether you’re an old fan, a new fan of the old stuff, or in the dark about our Fat Wreck years, it promises to be a sweet night. If all goes well, we plan to make this an annual event in a different city with a different charity every year. Thanks for ten great years Chicago, onward!”
