Ska isn’t dead, it’s homicidal: band member pulls gun after nobody shows up to gig

I refuse to label this story with a ska pun, but I’m sure you can think of some great ones.

Two touring ska bands, Longbeach Rehab Band (California, feat. members of Smash Mouth, yes, THIS Smash Mouth, Bad Brains, and White Zombie) and The Sindicate (Oregon) got themselves in a little bit of what I’ll just call a “tussle,” however I’m sure others would prefer to describe it as a “felony.” The following incident occurred at The Funhouse in Seattle.

The police report omits identities, so it is unclear which band started what. On April 11th, the suspect’s band refused to play a show due to low turnout. After the show the bands were loading up, and the members of both bands (except the suspect) were having a chat about the suspect’s sh*tty behavior. When he emerged from the venue to see both bands talking about him, the suspect shouted a racial slur at the victim, and grabbed and loaded a gun from his RV. His band then grabbed him and drove away.

Looks like someone’s one their way to becoming Phil Spector!
