Suedehead(band) reviving 1970’s ska/skinhead subculture, streaming discography

California/UK fusion band Suedehead have spent the year revitalizing an old brand of ska/skinhead subculture of the same name. Similar to the British rude movement that originated in Jamaica, the suedeheads put their own soul and funk-type music into ska and alternative punk music.

Since the band started up earlier this year, they’ve been quite the busy group. As if touring with Social Distortion and Chuck Ragan wasn’t enough, the band released 3 EP’s and a single in the last 8 months alone. They are now streaming all of it (No Pain, So Frantic, In Motion, The Constant), and you can listen to it right here.

Also be sure to check out some of Suedehead’s 2011 videos: you can watch “Young And In Love” and “Long Hot Summer” here.
