Despite having announced previously that their debut full-length would be released on their own label, Venn Records, U.K. hardcore-punk act, Gallows, have have apparently reneged and signed to Bridge Nine Records.
The label has issued a press release stating that they will put out an 11 track full-length by the band early this Fall. The band comments on the signing:
“We are excited to become a part of Bridge Nine Records. Having been following the releases of label since Chris started it, it’s cool to become a part of that legacy. We plan to be touring the USA a lot on this new record and we’re happy to have found our new American home.”
The quote being slightly ironic after this quote when the band originally announced the self-release:
“For the last seven years we have trudged step by step through the dark sewers of music industry. Shaking hands with snakes and signing contracts drafted by thieves with perfect teeth. We are happy to announce that we have become part of the problem. All hail Venn Records.”
Gallows released their last EP, “Death Is Birth,” their first with MacNeil on vocal duty, last year on Thirty Days of Night Records.
