toothandnail Alright, boys and girls.  It’s time for a little Punk Rock gossip!

So, my best friend’s sister’s boyfriend’s brother’s girlfriend heard that Tim Mctague of Underoath talked some serious smack about Avenged Sevenfold in an interview with Metal Hammer, being quoted as follows:

People might associate us with Avenged Sevenfold because they’re pissed republicans and ‘so metal’, but they’re a gimmick, they’re a circus. They can play but they can’t write songs. What’s worse is the way they look. If you need to have make-up and crappy names like Synyster Gates to sell records, then you shouldn’t be here. Buuuuuutttt…  my cousin’s roommate’s step sister said she read that Tim stated today on the band’s myspace blog:

There’s obviously a fine line between being honest and careful when it comes to interviews. This is often a very severe impasse for me based on the fact that at times I find myself holding back, rather than just being able to have an open discussion of ideas. It’s being reported that the two front men are meeting behind the gymnasium at 3 to settle things like men.  A poetry writing contest.
