Chicago pop-punk group Fall Out Boy stopped by Conan O’Brien’s studios last night and performed their single “My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark”. In a tribute to the legendary film This Is Spinal Tap, the band had lead guitarist Joe Trohman and bassist Pete Wentz step out of futuristic-looking pods that were already in place on stage. Naturally, Wentz’s pod did not open correctly, forcing none other than Spinal Tap’s own Derek Smalls (actor Harry Shearer) to step on stage and give Fall Out Boy a hand. Also, there’s a tiny Stone Henge and some druids.

You can watch the performance right here.

Fall Out Boy just released their fifth studio album, Save Rock and Roll, earlier this week on Island Records.
