If you live in the Chicago area and you’re heading to the Smoking Popes’ record release shows this weekend (Friday, 19 Feb and Saturday, 20 Feb), stop gloating and just enjoy the damn show. Friday night’s show will be available for stream for just $1.00 and you can also participate in a pre-show live chat. Sounds like a fun idea (I’d probably do it for a select few bands), but I think I’d just get bummed that I wasn’t actually at the show. I dunno, maybe get a bunch of your pals together and hook your laptop up to your 60″ plasma.
