Alright, punk rockers. It’s time for a throwdown. Today it’s a showdown between two of punk rock’s favorite fighters.
In one corner, we have Ben Weasel. Ben made headlines at SXSW when he jumped off the stage to punch a woman for throwing ice at him. He then parted ways with the rest of Screeching Weasel, the 25th anniversary Weasel Fest show was canceled, and a lot of groups turned on him. Last week he released an epically long and highly entertaining statement about SXSW — 5 months after the incident.
In the other corner, we have Scott Russo of Unwritten Law fame. He recently lost two band members over a fist fight. Allegedly, he was late getting back to the bus and punched guitarist Steve Morris, causing both him and bassist Pat Kim to leave the band.
So who is scrappier? Who could take the other guy down? Let’s get rrrrrrrready to rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrumble.
