Fighting Fiction Bio:

Fighting Fiction are a Brighton based four piece punk rock band. Their earnest DIY approach is the backdrop to their keen touring ethic and the simple honesty of their storytelling songs.

After a succession of well received singles and five self booked UK tours; including slots alongside Frank Turner, This Town Needs Guns, The Riot Before, The Xcerts, Laura Marling and Crazy Arm; Fighting Fiction return this January 2012 with their debut album, recorded and produced by friend and highly credited producer Mark Williams, (Oceansize, Million Dead, Yourcodenameis:milo, Biffy Clyro & Enter Shikari). The self titled album is out on Xtra Mile Recordings (Frank Turner, Reuben, Franz Nicolay, Against Me!) February 2012.

Championed by Mike Davies’ BBC Radio 1 Punk Show and BBC 6’s Tom Robinson and with a Maida Vale session, festival appearances at The Isle of Man TT, The Isle of Wight, 2000 Trees and The Lock Up Stage opening slot at 2011’s Reading and Leeds Festivals under their belts the band are ready to tour their new and first full length record across the UK and Europe this Spring.

Speaking of the forthcoming album the band say “This is an album conceived over weekends and late nights in living rooms and start up studios, we’ve spent every hour we have spare pouring ourselves into these ten songs to make them the best they can possibly be, they’re personal and political, recorded by our friend and fantastic producer Mark Williams and played by us to the best of our ability, we want every note and word to sound like we meant them, because we did”.
