Another Social Distortion album already in the works?

Yeah, Social Distortion released their last album nearly two weeks ago, but frontman Mike Ness has told Exlaim another record is apparently in the works. Although it’s not known when it’ll be out but Ness is hoping it won’t take another eight or seven years to make. He explains:

“Although this record is out, I’m going to continue the process of writing so maybe there won’t be such a large gap between records. Even when the record’s done, it doesn’t mean the creativity of writing is.”

The last Social D album, “Hard Times and Nursery Rhymes,” came out on January 18th. It’s their first album since 2004’s “Sex, Love and Rock ‘n’ Roll” and first release on the legendary label Epitaph Records (the home of many well-known punk bands like Bad Religion, NOFX, Pennywise, The Offspring, Rancid, Bouncing Souls, just to name a few). This spring, the band will go on tour to support the new record.
