Chazz Valentine (The Rabble) wins John Lennon Song Writing Contest

As New Zealand punk trio, The Rabble embarks on their extensive 2010 European Tour… good news has come in for founding member, Chazz Rabble. (a.k.a Chazz Valentine).

As of early March 16th, Chazz was awarded the prestigious John Lennon Song Writing Award for “Best Love Song” for his infectious track, “The Brightest Star”.

The song was co-written by Dying Scene music-reviewer and punk-rock graphic designer, Taron Cochrane for his wife at their October, 2009 wedding.  You can check out the music video for it here and for more info on the competition check John Lennon Songwriting Content official website.

Quickly gaining radio and television airplay (especially in his hometown of Auckland, New Zealand), “The Brightest Star” is the second solo single released by Chazz who plans on following it up with more solo tracks as well as a new Rabble album in late 2010.

Make sure to catch The Rabble as they storm the European streets with a musical vengeance! All dates can be found on their Myspace page.
