The one-year anniversary of the release of Dave Hause‘s stellar second solo album (ranked by at least two of us as the best album of 2013), “Devour,” brings with it a bunch of Hause-related activity. First and foremost, after a few months off the road spent writing new music (more on that in a minute), Hause is gearing up for his opening slot on Hot Water Music’s 20th anniversary tour by performing a series of three Stage-It concerts: one for the Europeans, one for the East Coasters and one for the West Coasters. They’ll all take place on October 15th at 8pm in each respective location: click here for more details.

Back to that “new music” stuff. Hause reports via his newsletter that he’s not only busy working on new solo material, but that he’s also got some music that’s “going to be better suited for a punky-pop side project which seems to be coming together,” while some “of them will be better suited for an electronic project I’ve been working on with an old friend from home.” Stay tuned for more where that’s concerned. In the meantime, head below for video of Hause playing a new, as-yet-unnamed song from Amsterdam a couple months ago. Not one of the electronic tracks, for sure.

“Devour” was released October 8th, 2013, through Rise Records.
