Emo-rockers Jimmy Eat World have announced tour dates in support of their critically-acclaimed sixth studio LP, Invented. Kicking off on 28 January in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the tour will move east into Florida, and then north along the coast, ending on Valentine’s Day in Pittsburgh. More dates remain to be announced, but check out all of the confirmed here. Tickets go on pre-sale (more info) this Wednesday at 11am and are open to the general public on the 29th unless otherwise noted.
Also, check out the band this Friday, 29 October, on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. The track that they will be performing is their first single, My Best Theory (video here), which has found its way to #3 on the Modern Rock Charts and is on Billboard’s Top 10.
Invented–released on 28 Sept–came out on Interscope Records and is a follow-up to 2007’s Chase This Light (also Interscope).
