Tours: Pussy Riot tour North America, Dwarves, Pinskhift, THICK, Death Valley Girls support some dates

Pussy Riot have announced North American tour dates for this fall. For this tour the band is made up of Diana Burkot, Maria Alekhina, Olga Borisova, and Alina Petrova. Nadya Tolokonnikova released a statement on Instagram about her involvement in the tour which reads, ”for transparency, so no one of you rioters is surprised: i'm not a part of the "riot days" tour. it's a theatrical show about our punk prayer story based on masha's prison memoir. i spend quiet work days in my geo-anonymous art studio focusing on creating a new body of conceptual political art work for the exhibitions in 2023-2025. i play shows and appear in public extremely rarely, but loudly.” Liza Anne, Sloppy Jane, Pinkshift, THICK, and Death Valley Girls will be playing support. Tickets go on sale September 8. The band also will be playing a New Years eve show with The Dwarves in San Francisco. Check out the dates below.

Just minutes ago, Pat, Chris #1 and Chris #2 of Anti-Flag, issued a statement via e-mail regarding the recent Rolling Stone article where 12 more women came forward to accuse singer Justin Sane of Sexual Abuse /Sexual misconduct. Where the band had been somewhat non-committal in previous statements, they now condemn Justin Sane. You can read the statement below.

Devo announce 50-year anniversary box set

Devo have announced that they will be releasing a new box set to celebrate their 50th anniversary. The box set is called 50 Years of De-Evolution (1973-2023) and features 50 songs which will include deep cuts and rarities along with hits. The box set is available over four vinyl records or 2 CDs and the deluxe edition comes with a 28-page book, a red energy dome paper hat, and an air freshener. A remastered version of their song “Disco Dancer” has also been released. In a statement released along with the announcement, Mark Mothersbaugh said, ”This box set represents a great cross section of early experiments and later creations. I was looking to create a new sound, a concept in art and music that represented a new way of thinking about life on planet earth. With Devo, I think we did just that. Farewell to the first 50, Let’s get the next 50 started!” Devo will be touring (which the band seemed to confirm will be their last but Booji Boy said not to call it their farewell tour) the Western US in November and will be playing the Good Things Festival in Australia in December. Stig and Ray of Amebix form band with Jeff of Discharge

A new punk/metal/crust supergroup has been formed. The band is called False Fed and it includes Jeff Janiak (Discharge, Broken Bones), guitarist Stig C. Miller (Amebix, Zygote), bassist JP Parsons, and drummer Roy Mayorga (Nausea, Ministry, Soulfly, Amebix). Let Them Eat Fake will be out Oxtober 13 via Neurot recordings.

Capra have released a video for their new song “Human Commodity” which features Candace Puopolo of Walls of Jericho. The video was created by Jai Benoit and Jerik Thibodaux. The song is off their upcoming album Errors which will be out on October 6 via Metal Blade Records / Blacklight Media Records. Capra released their album In Transmission in 2021. The Atom Age have announced that they will be releasing a new album. It is self-titled and will be out on September 29 via Asian Man Records. The band has also released a video for their new song “New Season” which was created by Shibby Pictures. The Atom Age released their album Cry Til You Die in 2019.
