Danbert Nobacon to release new album in early 2024

Danbert Nobacon of Chumbawamba will release a new album in early 2024. It's under the Danbert Nobacon and the Axis of Dissent moniker and will be called Kochtopus's Garden, Now that's what I call capitalism.. It will be a double LP.

Parasites to release EP of material from 1989 intended for Sweet Baby

Veteran American pop punkers the Parasites have announced a new, archival 7-inch composed of material recorded before the band released their first LP. The five tracks EP-onomous were originally recorded by Ronnie Parasite and Dave Parasite in 1989 on a 4-track cassette in Ronnie’s basement. The tunes were orignally intended to be songs for the second Sweet Baby album (which never materialized). The tracks have been remixed and remastered for the release. The track list is: "Perfect Girl"," Fool For You," "I Got A Crush On Donna," Love Me Too, "I Love Her, But She Don’t Surf." That's out via Otitis media.

Propagandhi working on new music

It appears that Propagandhi are working on new music. A recently released Instagram post reads, ”ere’s our good buddies Chris and Jord discussing a wicked riff! We’re working on new tunes and boy are they killer! It’s always a good time meeting up to rock with your friends!”Propagandhi will be touring the Western US in October and released Victory Lap in 2017. Check out the post in full below.

Berlin-based post-punks Plattenbau have released a video for their new song “Best Western”. The video was directed and edited by Lewis Lloyd. The song is off their upcoming album Net Prophet which will be out on September 8 via Dedstrange. Plattenbau released their album Shape / Shifting in 2022. Check out the video below.

The Hives featured on Amoeba Music's 'What's In My Bag?'

Vigilante Carlstroem, The Johan and Only, and Nicholaus Arson from The Hives have been featured on an episode of Amoeba Music’s YouTube series What’s In My Bag?. The band released their album The Death of Randy Fitzsimmons earlier this month and will be touring Europe starting in September, touring North America starting in October, and touring the UK and Ireland in 2024. The Chisel, Prince Daddy and The Hyena, and Koyo have all released cover songs for the upcoming compilation album Dead Formats Vol. 2. The Chisel covered the Elton John classic “Saturday Night’s Alright (For Fighting)” and their cover comes with a video that was directed by Taylor Stewart. Prince Daddy and The Hyena covered “You Get What You Give” by New Radicals and Koyo covered “Do You Still Hate Me?” By Jawbreaker. Bonk! Bonk! is the new Hellcat singles club band

This year, Hellcat records have been releasing digital singles, including a track by Doom Regulator, the band featuring Jesse Michaels and Tim Armstrong of Operation Ivy and a band featuring Jamaican dancehall icon Ce'cille. The new band is called Bonk! Bonk! and features singer Lindsey Jennings. Armstorng issued a statement on the track: "Lindsey and I have been good friends for a while now. We wrote our first song together in 2015 and always kept touch. Lindsey has incredible timing with her lyrics, sometimes funny, sometimes serious but always on point. About a year ago we had an idea to start writing early punk songs like 1977 style. Like the music you can POGO to. We called this project BONK! BONK! This is the first song we’re releasing from BONK! BONK! It’s called ONE TIME." You can hear the new track,"One time" below.

Proper. announce new EP, release "Potential" lyric video

Proper. have announced that they will be releasing a new EP. It is called Part-Timer and will be out on September 8 via Father/Daughter Records. The EP features 5 tracks and was mastered by Will Yip. A lyric video (created by Paul Mendoza) for their first song “Potential” has also been released.
