Interviews: 'Making Circles of Our Own' with Lyndsey McDougall of New Pagans

Irish indie-punks New Pagans are getting ready to release their excellent second album Making Circles of Our Own next week. The album sees the band exploring the music industry’s obsession with youth, the lives and works of artists throughout history, and the importance of hope with stellar musicianship and deep lyrics that are filled with imagery. Making Circles of Our Own will be out everywhere on February 17 via Big Scary Monsters and New Pagans will be touring the UK in March. Punknews editor Em Moore caught up with lead vocalist Lyndsey McDougall over Zoom to talk about the new album, songwriting, embroidery, Irishness, and so much more. Read the interview below!

Jon Wurster to leave Superchunk

Jon Wurster has stated that he is pulling back on his drumming duties at Superchunk. It appears the split is amicable as he suggests that he might drum for them here and there in the future. Wurster has been with the band since 1993. You can see his statement below.

Videos: Zulu: "We're More Than This"

Zulu have released a video for their new song “We’re More Than This”. The video was co-directed by Anaiah Lei, Dez Yusuf, and Tyler Bradberry (who also shot the video). The song is off the band’s upcoming debut LP A New Tomorrow which will be out on March 3 via Flatspot Records. Zulu are currently touring North America with Show Me The Body, Jesus Piece, Scowl, and tRiPPJONES. They released a collection of their two EPs My People…Hold On / Our Day Will Come in 2021. Loud Graves to release 7-inch single

Loud Graves, the new band featuring Dominic Davi of Tsunami Bomb, has announced their debut release. It's a 7-inch single with the tracks "Left of You" and "Why meh?" They also release a video for the b-side. You can check out the new release below.

Moby releases 'Punk Rock Vegan' movie (for Free)

Moby has released a new movie/documentary. It's called Punk rock Vegan and it explores the intersection between veganism and punk rock. It features interviews with many artists including Ian MacKaye, HR of the Bad Brains, Doyle of The misfits, Steve Ignorant of Crass.
