Origami Angel have announced that they will be releasing a new mixtape. It is called The Brightest Days and will be out on June 16 via Counter Intuitive Records. The band has also released a new song called “My PG County Summer”. Origami Angel are currently touring the US with Pinkshift and Sweet Pill and released their album Gami Gang in 2021. Scowl have announced a North American tour for this fall. Militarie Gun will be playing support on all dates and MSPaint and Big Laugh will be joining them on select dates. Tickets for this run of shows go on sale Friday, May 19. Scowl will be touring Australia with Speed starting later this month and will be playing with Circle Jerks on select US dates in July. The band released their EP Psychic Dance Routine earlier this year. Check out the dates below.

Vice Media has filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy in a New York Federal district court. Chapter 11 bankruptcy is a form of bankruptcy, usually used by corporations, which allows a company/debtor to continue to operate while it works on a repayment/settlement plan with its creditors. Under the current proposed chapter 11 plan, numerous Vice creditors are set to purchase the embattled company's assets for $225 million and take on significant liabilities, listed at $500 million to $1 billion. In 2017, the company was valued at 5.7 billion. However, in recent months during the company's troubles, it tried and failed to find a buyer at about $1 billion. Vice co-CEOs Bruce Dixon and Hozefa Lokhandwala wrote in a statement:"This accelerated court-supervised sale process will strengthen the Company and position VICE for long-term growth," "We look forward to completing the sale process in the next two to three months and charting a healthy and successful next chapter at VICE."

FEAR have released a cover of AC/DC’s “Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap”. The song originally appeared on AC/DC's album of the same name which was released in 1976. The band will be playing Punk Rock Bowling later this month and will be opening for The Misfits at all of their upcoming summer US shows. FEAR released their EP Nice Boys (Don’t Play Rock & Roll) earlier this year. Check out the cover below.

Fake Names have released a live video of their full show at Washington, DC’s Black Cat venue. The video was filmed on April 16, 2023, by Hate5Six. Along with the video, the band also announced a handful of tour dates for this September including their appearance at Riot Fest in Chicago. Fake Names released their album Expendables earlier this year. Check out the video and tour dates below.

Toronto’s Queen of Swords has announced that she will be releasing a new album. It is called Year 8 and will be out on June 9 via Get Better Records. A video for the second single called “A Shame” which was created by Emma Cosgrove has also been released. Queen of Swords will be playing an album release show on July 7 at Cecil Community Centre in Toronto and released her self-titled album in 2017. Check out the video and tracklist below.
