Softcult have released a video for their new song “Queen of Nothing”. The video was directed by Mercedes Arn-Horn. The song is off their upcoming debut album When A Flower Doesn’t Grow which will be out January 30 via Easy Life Records. Softcult will be touring North America supporting Lights starting in February and released their EP Heaven in 2024. Check out the video below.
DEVO have announced US tour dates for this spring. The tour kicks off on April 3 in Wheatland, California, and wraps up with their second Coachella performance on April 17. DEVO will be playing two shows with The B-52s in the UK in June. Check out the dates below.
Anaheim-based venue Chain Reaction has announced that it will be closing at the end of December. The venue announced this news in an Instagram post which reads in part, ”For almost 30 years, Chain Reaction has proudly fostered the alt-music scene by creating a space for a community that the outside world “just didn’t get”. From your local bands gaining their footing at their first shows, to the humble beginnings of huge acts you now love, we’re grateful to have held a place in this scene for as long as we did. This call wasn’t made quickly. We wrestled with it and have ultimately made the decision to close our doors. We want to thank every band, fan and attendee of our shows. We want to thank the scene that supported us for almost three decades. We want to thank you for the friendships and memories made in our special club. Thank you for supporting us through the years and when we needed it most. CHAIN REACTION FOREVER.” Chain Reaction will be holding its final two shows on December 18 and 19. Movements and Militarie Gun will be playing on both dates with Underbrook joining them on December 18 and Cheridomingo joining them on December 19. You can see the statement in full below.

Toronto-based Wavelength Music Festival has announced its lineup for 2026. Bad Waitress, Bibi Club, Casper Skulls, Melissa Auf Der Maur (book launch and DJ set), Pizza Bush, Ribbon Skirt, Slash Need, Sook-Yin Lee, and Status/Non-Status are among the artists announced. Along with music, the festival will also host panels, poets, workshops, and a synth petting zoo. The poster for the festival was created by Stephanie Avery and Derek Ma. Wavelength Music Festival will take place March 19-21 at several venues around Toronto, including St. Anne’s, AGO, The Baby G, The Garrison, InterAccess, and Lula Lounge. Check out the poster below.
