Victoria Ska and Reggae Festival has announced its lineup for this year. Lagwagon, Souls of Mischief, Charly Black, Bedouin Soundclash, The Black Seeds, Five Alarm Funk, Clinton Fearon, The Boogie Brown Band, Antidoping, Against All Authority, Eva Lazarus, Dr. Ring Ding, Bia Ferreira, Bad Cop/Bad Cop, Tanika Charles, Train to Roots, Mindil Beach, Half Past Two, 1876, Crazy and The Brains, The Capital Collective, Los Furios, DJ Demo, Tank Gyal, Nico Supreme, Marcus Visionary, Sonic Alley, Apex Breaks, The New Groovement, Skystar, Miss Diva, Alpha Centauri, The Bloodwarmers, Melafrique, Trippycals, DJ Real West, Mean Bikini, Young Royal, DJ Suar3z, DB Chessa, Bu Von Blume, Stax, VCS Sound System, and Dave O Rama will be playing the festival. Victoria Ska and Reggae Festival will take place June 24-28 at several venues around Victoria, BC, including Ship Point, Victoria Curling Club, Studio 919, and Encore.

Punk in the Park has announced the details for its three-date "road show." Orlando, Pittsburgh, and Vallejo each get stops with somewhat different gigs. Bands appearing at various shows include Adicts (who healdine all shows), Dead Kennedys, Screeching Weasel, Leftover Crack, Codefendants, The Last Gang, Agnostic Front, The Queers, CKY, Street Dogs, Fear, and more. Laura Jane Grace has announced a new tour and a new band. The new lineup is LJG, Ara of The Slackers, King mike of Screaming Females, and Lulu Lucious. Lung and Black Guy Fawkes open. The tour runs April and May and you can see the dates below.

Last night, Trump posted a racist video on his "truth social media" platform. In the video, President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama were depicted as gorillas following a series of images that repeat Trump's lies that previous elections were rigged. Currently, Trump is trying to have elections handled by Federal authorities, instead of state authorities, which is clearly unconstitutional, and also follows in the wake of trump's core election campaign promise to shrink the powers of the federal government. This all comes in the wake of the partial release of the Epstein files, in which Trump is named thousands and thousands of times and is placed at some of Epstein's "parties." Surprisingly, or unsurprisingly, the White House responded to criticism of the video and Trump posting it… by defending said video. The Whitehouse said: “This is from an internet meme video depicting President Trump as the King of the Jungle and Democrats as characters from the Lion King. Please stop the fake outrage and report on something today that actually matters to the American public.” Then, about two hours ago, the Whitehouse issued another update after receiving blowback to their earlier statement. ""A White House staffer erroneously made the post. It has been taken down." Trump has taken down the post, but did not name the "white house staffer" who apparently has such free access to his account. Of course, going back to the construction of the constitution and the views of the founding fathers, the idea of a king is repugnant. Bitter Branches have released a video for their new song “Pity Party”. The live footage was shot by Sunny Singh of Hate5Six and the video was edited by Will Fredette. The song is off their upcoming album Let’s Give The Land Back To The Animals which will be out on March 6 via Equal Vision Records. Bitter Branches released Your Neighbors Are Failures in 2022. Destiny Bond have recorded an Audiotree Live Session. The band played “Out Loud”, “Mind to the Mirror”, “Lookin’ for a Fight / Done Lookin’”, “Peace as a Punchline”, “Debt Perception”, and “Can’t Kill the Love” from their 2025 album The Love along with “Losin’”, “Headspin”, and “Chew” from their 2023 debut album Be My Vengeance. The session was recorded live on September 24, 2025 in Chicago, Illinois. Check out the video below.
