Dear Landlord to release 'Singles And Outtakes 2007-2012'

Dear Landlord will release a new compilation on Friday. It's called Singles and Outtakes 2007-2012. The comp feature songs from their Chinese Telephones split, their Off With Their Heads split, the “Heartbroken Handshakes” single, the Dopamines split, and the compilation album The Thing That Ate Larry Livermore. It also has some unreleased demos. Dear Landlord's sole LP, Dream Homes came out on 2009 and this new collection represents much of the rest of the work they did outside of that LP.

Pacing: "Never Go Down"

Pacing, the anti-folk project of Katie McTigue, has released a lyric video for her new song “Never Go Down”. The song is a reworked version of “You Can Never Go Down the Drain” by Mr. Rogers and is off her upcoming album Pl*net F*tness which will be out on July 25 via Asian Man Records. Pacing will be touring the US supporting AJJ in August and released Real poetry is always about plants and birds and trees and the animals and milk and honey breaking in the pink but real life is behind a screen in 2023. The Iron Roses announce new EP, release "Class War Cheer Squad"

The Iron Roses have announced that they will be releasing a new EP. It is called Agitpop and features three new songs – “Class War Cheer Squad” (which was released along with the EP announcement), “Fight Back”, and “Burn”. The EP will be out on September 11. The Iron Roses released their self-titled debut album in 2023. Check out the song below.

Descendents have over 25 new songs recorded, hope to release LP in 2026

Descendents just appeared on the Vinyl Guide podcast. During the interview, Milo and Bill Stevenson dropped some interesting tidbits. The band has over 25 songs recorded with many more sketches in the works. Stevenson stated that he hopes to release a new Descendents album in 2026. Further, the band has not only regained the rights to Milo Goes to College, but also the entirety of the Descendents/All SST catalog. The band plans to re-release those records fairly expeditiously. Today, we are thrilled to bring you the premiere of the debut album by Oakland-based post-hardcore band Drought! The album is called Souvenir and follows up their debut EP which was released in 2023. It was recorded at Atomic Garden Studios with Jack Shirley. Souvenir features thirteen tracks full of introspective and existential lyrics and incredibly dynamic instrumentation. We caught up with lead vocalist Viggy Ram and guitarist RJ Rabe to hear the stories behind each of the songs. Souvenir will be out everywhere on July 18 via Iodine Recordings. Tours: Ted Leo, Cardinals, Jesse Malin, and Soft Play added to the Pogues' upcoming North American tour

The Pogues have announced opening bands for their upcoming North American tour. Ted Leo will be joining them in Philadelphia, Cardinals will be joining them in Toronto, Soft Play will be joining them on their first show in New York, and Jesse Malin will be joining them at their second show in New York. On this tour the touring party is made up of Jem Finer, Spider Stacy, James Fearnley, Holly Mullieneaux, Darragh Lynch, Jordan O’Leary, Fiachra Meek, Jim Sclavunos, Iona Zajac, John Francis Flynn, Lisa O’Neill, Nadine Shah, James Walbourne, Pete Fraser, Daniel Hayes, and Ian Williamson. The tour will see them celebrating the 40th anniversary of Rum, Sodomy, and The Lash and they’ll be touring the UK in May. Check out the updated dates below.

Sumo Cyco announce new album, share "Shivers" video

Hamilton and Toronto-based Sumo Cyco have announced that they will be releasing a new album. It is called NEON VOID and will be out on October 24. The album features 12 songs, including their previously released single “Villains”. The band has also released a video for their new song “Shivers” which was directed and produced by lead singer Skye Sweetnam. Sumo Cyco released their album Initiation in 2021. Tours: Latter announce tour dates (US and Ontario)

Latter have announced North American tour dates for this summer and fall. Nude will be joining them on select dates. The tour begins on August 18 in Davenport, Iowa and wraps up on September 20 in Nashville, Tennessee. Latter will be releasing their EP What Lives Inside of Me on July 25 and released their album My Body Is My Sickness in 2024. Check out the dates below.
