The Beaches raise a glass to the ‘Last Girls at the Party’

We’ve been so busy blaming our ex over the past year or so that we totally slept on The Beaches dropping a couple of delectable new jams. But the white-hot Toronto band isn’t worried about any of that, as the unfuckwithable guitar-pop unit is purely concerned with what’s up next, and fast on the agenda is a night out soundtracked by boisterous new bop “Last Girls at the Party.” This firecracker dropped yesterday (April 3), and it retains the playful […]

Check out the new track by Sivan Langer!

Today, we are pleased to debut the new track by Sivan Langer! This track is wild- it's got a little T-rex melodic bop, a little Flaming Lips aggressive weirdness, a little Syd Barrett tripped out mind fry, and it's pretty negative- which is very, very cool.Speaking to Punknews, Sivan Langer said, "I wrote Simple Song because I was going through a period of depression and just feeling negativity from about every aspect of life. In these moments, people tend to go to their place of security, which for me is music, words, and songwriting."Rough Mix is out today and you can check out the new single below, right now!

CinemaCon 2025: Paramount teases Liam Neeson’s ‘Naked Gun’

Over in Vegas, Paramount just wrapped up their CinemaCon presentation, and they definitely won the “at Home” front. Sure, they brought Tom Cruise out on stage to both sell Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning (who also paid tribute to Val Kilmer with a moment of silence); they wowed with footage of Glen Powell in Edgar Wright’s upcoming adaptation of Stephen King’s The Running Man (which we keep getting confused with The Long Walk, even though we love the Arnold […]

CinemaCon 2025: Universal brings the horror with ‘FNAF 2’ and ‘M3GAN 2.0’

Since we’re not on-site in Vegas to watch a whole bunch of movie trailers, we took a bit of a break from bringing you the CinemaCon highlights to mourn the dearly departed Val Kilmer, and because, outside of the news from the Lionsgate presentation that Keanu Reeves will return for John Wick 5, there wasn’t too much to write about. You’ll likely see the Superman footage Warner Bros. showed in their presentation at your local theater in front of Minecraft […]

ADamnShame Records finds a temporary home at Lala Books

When Lowell’s beloved hub Mill No. 5 shuttered this past February, one of its newest residents had only been in business for six months. Now, in light of the Mill’s final days, ADamnShame Records owner Adam O’Donnell has teamed up with a different staple of downtown Lowell: Lala Books. The record […]
