Festivals & Events: Punk Rock Bowling announce details for three new club shows

Punk Rock Bowling has announced details for three more club shows for this year. All shows will take place in Downtown Las Vegas. Hot Water Music, H20, Nothington, and The Jack Knives will be playing on May 24 at Substance. Michael McColgan and the Bomb Squad (performing their debut album Do Or Die), The Briggs, The Attack, and Dee Skusting and The Rodents will be playing at the Usual Place on May 24. Chuck Ragan, Dave Hause, Jason Cruz and Howl, and Pet Needs will be playing at The Sand Dollar on May 23. Punk Rock Bowling announced its full lineup in November and will take place on May 24-26 in Downtown Las Vegas. Check out the show posters below.

Videos: Orthodox: "Commit to Consequence" (ft. Andrew Neufeld of Comeback Kid)

Nashville-based Orthodox have released a video for their new song “Commit to Consequence” that features guest vocals from Andrew Neufeld of Comeback Kid. The song is available digitally via Century Media. Orthodox will be touring North America supporting Comeback Kid on their upcoming Wake the Dead 20th-anniversary tour which starts later this month. Orthodox released their album Learning To Dissolve in 2022. Check out the video below.

Superheaven to release first new album in 10 years, share "Cruel Times" video

Superheaven have announced that they will be releasing a new album. It is self-titled and will be the band’s first in 10 years. The album will be out on April 18 via Blue Grape Music. The band has also released a video for their new song “Cruel Times” which was directed by Britain Weyant. Superheaven will be touring the US and Toronto starting in April and released their album Ours Is Chrome in 2015. Check out the video and tracklist below.

Lagwagon announce European tour

Lagwagon have announced European tour dates for this summer. The shows will kick off at the Graspop Metal Meeting music festival in Dessel, Belgium on June 19 and wrap up on July 9 at the Petit Bain in Paris, France. Slaughterhouse and Good Riddance will be playing support on select dates. Tickets for this run of shows go on sale on February 21. Lagwagon will be touring Japan in May and released their album Railer in 2019. Check out the dates below.

Green Day looking for "punks, alts, emos, and rockers" to be extras in upcoming comedy film

Last week it was announced that a comedy movie inspired by Green Day’s early years (and produced by Live Nation) was in the works. It is called New Years Rev and is being written and directed by Lee Kirk. Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt, and Tre Cool are among the producers of the movie along with Tim Perell of Process Media and Stella Bulochnikov. Ryan Croft and Michael Rapino of Live Nation Productions and Jonathan Daniel of Crush Management are executive producers. So far the cast includes Mason Thames, Kylr Coffman, Ryan Foust, Jenna Fischer, Angela Kinsey, Ignacio Diaz-Silverio, and Keen Ruffalo. And you could join them.The movie has put out a casting call for “punks, alts, hardcore, emo, goths, and rockers aged 18-30” to be in an outdoor concert scene in the movie. Filming will take place from February 24-27 in Oklahoma City with one day featuring a “rain and mud fight” event for which the extras will get an extra $25 on top of their daily $101.50. Travel and accommodations are not provided. The casting call also says that along with "warming stations and blankets" there will be “live music, skateboarding, and a rowdy good time”. Florida Man to release new album, share "Dot Gov" video

Charleston, South Carolina-based Florida Man has announced that they will be releasing a new album. It is called Plastique and will be out on April 4 via The Ghost Is Clear Records. The band has also released a video for their new song “Dot Gov” which was directed by the band along with Matt Varner. Florida Man released their album Tropical Depression in 2019. Tours: Mark Hoppus announces book tour

Mark Hoppus of Blink-182 has announced that he will be going on a book tour around the US to support the release of his memoir Fahrenheit-182. The book was co-written with Dan Ozzie and will be out on April 8 via Harper Collins. The shows run throughout April starting in Brooklyn on April 9 and ending in Los Angeles on April 20.
