Sadly, Brian James, founding member of The Damned has passed away. He was 70. He died at his home with his family present. Parting ways with the Damned following the release of their second album, the NickMason-produced Music for Pleasure, Brian created the short-lived Tanz Der Youth, before he formedThe Lords of the New Church with his friend and fellow rocker Stiv Bators.In a wave of excitement, headed by the twin powers of Brian James and Stiv Bators, three successfulstudio albums followed for The Lord of the New Church, spawning singles such as Open Your Eyes,Dance with Me, and Method to My Madness. Alien Boy have announced that they will be releasing a new album. It is called You Wanna Fade? and will be out on May 9 via Get Better Records. The band has also released a video for their new song “Changes” which was directed, shot, and edited by Sjur Hjeltness of Long Drive Films. Alien Boy will be touring the US in May with Phony and released their album Don’t Know What I Am in 2021. Check out the video and tracklist below.

L.A. Witch have released a video for their new song “The Lines”. The video was directed by Sydney Mills. The song is off their upcoming album DOGGOD which will be out on April 4 via Suicide Squeeze Records. L.A. Witch will be touring North America starting in June and released their split with The Coathangers in 2021. Check out the video below.

Australia-based punk artist Ecca Vandal has released a video for her new song “Cruising to Self Soothe”. The video was directed by Ecca Vandal and Richie Buxton and was filmed at Knox Skate Park in Knox, Australia. The song was released last month as a standalone single. Ecca Vandal released a handful of singles in 2024 and released her self-titled album in 2017. Check out the video below.

Vestigio and Pests have announced that they will be playing a double record release show together. Vestigio will be celebrating the release of their self-titled album and Pests will be celebrating the release of their new EP Call of the Void. Both releases will be out on Undocumented Records. UZU and Maldacht will be joining them. The show will take place on April 5 at the Hard Luck Bar in Toronto, Ontario.

Illuminati Hotties has released a new song. It is called “777” and is available digitally now via Hopeless Records and Snack Shack Tracks. Illuminati Hotties will be touring Europe and the UK with PUP in May. Illuminati Hotties released their album Power in 2024. Check out the song below.

The Jesus Lizard has released a new song. It is called “I’m Tired of Being Your Mother” and is the third single that the band has released so far this year. The three songs – “I’m Tired of Being Your Mother”, “Cost of Living”, and “Westside” – will be released as a Record Store Day Exclusive EP called Flux.
