L.S. Dunes have released a video for their new song “Violet”. The video was directed by Ian Shelton. The song is off their upcoming album of the same name which will be out on January 31 via Fantasy Records. L.S. Dunes will be touring Europe later this month and released their album Past Lives in 2022. Check out the song below.

Taking Back Sunday drummer Mark O’Connell has announced that he has left the band. He was with the band for almost 25 years and played on all eight of the band’s studio albums. He announced his departure in a statement on Instagram which reads in part, ”After nearly 25 years as the drummer of Taking Back Sunday, I want to confirm that I am no longer with the band. It’s taken me some time to address this. Thank you for your patience as I’ve reflected on how to share my story. First, I want to thank the fans – your love and support have meant everything to me. You’ve been the heartbeat of TBS, and a huge part of my life for nearly a quarter of a century. I owe it all to you. My departure wasn’t an easy decision, and it wasn’t entirely my own. Over the past few years, I’ve focused on my family and personal growth, including committing to my sobriety. Unfortunately, during this time, I didn’t always feel the support I needed from those I thought of as brothers, and creative differences made it hard to move forward together. Speaking of, I’m excited to share that I’ll be releasing new music soon – both as a solo artist and with some old friends. […] That said, I’m grateful for the incredible memories with each of my bandmates – and all of you, as well as all the opportunities along with way. I’m choosing to focus on the good as I move into this next chapter.” Taking Back Sunday released their album 152 in 2023. You can see his full statement below.

Young Widows have announced that they will be releasing their first new album in 11 years. The album is called Power Sucker and will be out on March 21 via Temporary Residence Ltd.. The band has also released a video for their new song “Call Bullshit”. Young Widows will be touring the US in the winter and spring including a performance at Prepare The Ground in Toronto. The band released their collection album DECAYED: Ten Years of Cities, Wounds, Lightness, and Pain in 2018 and released their album Easy Pain in 2014. Chris Farren has announced tour dates for this May. He will be playing in the US and Canada and will end the tour at Pouzza Fest in Montreal. Chris Farren released his album Doom Singer in 2023. Check out the dates below.

Japanese Breakfast has announced that they will be releasing a new album. It is called For Melancholy Brunettes (& sad women) and will be out on March 21 via Dead Oceans. A lyric video for their new song “Orlando in Love” has also been released. The video was directed by frontwoman Michelle Zauner. Japanese Breakfast released Jubilee in 2021.
