Headline Records, the iconic LA punk rock shop, is restarting its record label. This time, the label will be releasing CDs in batches of 100. Texan musician Hayden Pedigo has announced that he’s working on a collaborative album with Chat Pile. This was announced in an Instagram post which reads, ”Spent the past month working on a full length collab record with OKC legends @chatpileband! It was all done in person working in the same room. We are finishing final overdubs now, but I can confidently say I’ve never heard anything like this album. Apocalyptic western picking slammed through heavy riffs and maybe 90s Chicago post-rock even? Idk, don’t want to give too much away. Not sure when y’all will ever hear this record, but I’m very stoked with what we made….”Hayden Pedigo released Live in Amarillo, Texas in 2024 and The Happiest Times I Ever Ignored in 2023. Home Front is in the studio. Via a series of instagram stories, the band has posted day-by-day updates, and has even played some of the works in progress- including one that samples HBO's Oz. Jonah Falco of Fucked Up is again working with the band as a producer. The band stated that they are now working on their second LP. We'll keep you updated.

Interpunk shut down sometime in the past few weeks. The closure follows immediately after the death of founder/owner Bob Schermerhorn. Schermerhorn's death was unexpected. As you may know, Interpunk was founded in 1997 and for a time period, mainly around 2005-2015, was one of the largest punk rock mailorder services in the USA and even the world. The site declined in stature with the rise of sites like amazon, as well as the rise in direct mailorder through bandcamp and bands' own sites, but continued into the very end of 2024. The company stated that they had shipped over two millions items. The service also released limited edition presses of certain records and even had some exclusive items during its heyday. We send our condolences to Schermerhon's family and friends.

Pouzza Fest has announced its second wave of bands for this year. Iron Chic, Toys That Kill, FYP, Les Marmottes Aplaties, The Holy Mess, Dig It Up, Dim Wizard, Thunder Queens, Eaten By Snakes, and Not Soldiers will be playing the festival. This group joins the previously announced first wave lineup of Frank Turner, Samiam, Worriers, Beton Arme, Chris Farren, Apes of the State, Oceanator, Teens In Trouble, Goodbye Blue Monday, and Los Bozos. Pouzza Fest will take place May 16-18 in Downtown Montreal.
