Mykal Rose of Black Uhuru, Hollie Cook, and Subatomic SoundSystem (Lee Scratch Perry's late period prodcuer/collaborator) have released a new track. It's called "Rockin' Like a Champion"." It appears on the trio's collaborative album. You can check it out below.

Wine Lips have released their KEXP full live performance. The band played “Stimulation”, “Derailer”, “Killjoy”, and “Fried IV” from their recently released album Super Mega Ultra along with “Kamikaze” from their 2021 album Mushroom Death Sex Bummer Party and “Big Muff” from their 2017 self-titled album. Me First and the Gimme Gimmes and The Dwarves are headed down under. The bands hit OZ just before Halloween and spend almost two weeks on the continent, hitting up all of the big cities. You can see the dates below.

Karate have announced that they will be releasing their first album in 20 years. It is called Make It Fit and it will be out on October 18 via Numero Group. The band has also released two new tracks called “Defendants” and “Silence, Sound”. Karate will be touring Europe early in December and will be touring the UK later that month with Tangled Hair supporting. The band’s last studio album was Pockets which was released in 2004 and they released both a split with Unwound and their Complete Studio Recordings collection album in 2023. Today, we are psyched to debut the new video by UnderHeaven! UnderHeaven is the space-y post-rock duo composed of Howard Wuelfing (who has collaborated with the Slickee Boys, Half Japanese, and a thousand others) and Chris Gelok (Chorea, Disgorgement, Bassnectar). The band has existed for a number of decades, sometimes including Don Zientara, sometimes including member sof half Japanese, and sometimes just including Wuelfing. Now a Wuelfing/Gelok combo act, the band has cut a new album of cosmic, drifting, far out soundscapes. The new single, "Church of Bones," exemplifies the new LP with its ethereal floating which is supported by striking, but spartan percussive driving.The new album will be out via Mo’Villainous Records later this year, but you can hear the new track below, right now.

For a little while, rumors have circulated that Dixxon clothing was right wing or even extremely right wing- a number of unverified images have cropped up that appeared to suggest that Dixxon clothing sold far right t-shirts, including one that said "Fuck Antifa." Dixxon has "collaborated" with a number of bands wherein Dixxon makes flannel shirts that have colors that match the colors associated with famous album covers. Rancid, Nofx,Suicidal Tendencies, Cro-Mags, Wisdom in Chains, Metallica and even Bob Marley. The Punk Rock Museum also had a shirt planned through Dixxon. Earlier this summer, Kepi Ghoulie was made aware of the issue and was disappointed that bands he had supported and covered were associated with Dixxon. For about six weeks, Kepi reached out to various bands and the Punk Rock Museum. Most bands did not respond. The PRM did respond, promising to set up a meeting with Kepi, but then postponed said meetings. After a meeting postponement, Kepi published a post on instagram, detailing his frustration and essentially throwing his hands up in the air. A Dixxon Operations Executive then left a comment on Kepi's post attacking Kepi (though the comment did state that Dixxon are not fascists). Around that same time, A Dixxon manager who goes by Dixxondoug online, posted an image of Trump victoriously raising his fist in the air after being shot, with the phrase "It's time America." The post also included a musical clip of Pantera's "Rise." As you know, Pantera has previously faced racism/facism issues. After Kepi's post where he expressed frustration, he did in fact get to talk with Fat Mike of Nofx, who was on tour. After Kepi and Mike talked, Kepi posted a concluding statement. Kepi stated that Mike was unaware of the situation as he was on tour and his people didn't want to bother him. Kepi also stated that the Punk Museum/Nofx has agreed to end all dealings with Dixxon. Most of the other bands associated with Dixxon did not make a statement. If anything else develops, we will let you know. You can see some relevant instagram posts below.

Missouri Executive Order 44 have released a new song. It is called “The Unbuckling” and is off their upcoming album Salt Sermon which will be out on August 16 via Learning Curve Records and The Ghost Is Clear Records. Missouri Executive Order 44 released their EP Seventeen Dead in Caldwell County in 2023. Check out the song below.

The Stoves, made up of Drew Thomson, Ross Miller, and Peter Landi on this recording (all current or past members of Single Mothers), have released a new song. It is called “Cynic’s Bitterness” and is available digitally now. The artwork for the single was created by Ross Miller and Sara Froese. The Stoves released their self-titled EP in 2023. Check out the song below.
