Triptykon will release a new album in 2025. That will be out via Century Media Records/Sony Music Entertainment. The band is currently writing the album in Switzerland and will record it in Germany later this year. As per the band, it is likely that an EP will precede the LP release. As you may know, most Misfits albums seem to go in and out of print at random intervals. (Samhain has been out of print for almsot 20 years, and early Danzig albums have been out of print on vinyl since the '90s). Well, Earth A.D. is back for the time being. The album is being re-released as part of the "RSD Essentials" series. The sound recordings are the same as the "normal issue" of the record, but the record is now on a purple/black color vinyl and the jacket has been slightly tweaked. That's out July 26.

After a 9-year hiatus, The Scally Cap Brats reunited in Ottawa, ON for the 30th anniversary of the Dominion Tavern. As part of the reunion, the band recorded a video of their track "Our Storied Past". The band stated: "The Scally Cap Brats are back together after a long 9-year hiatus. It was never meant to be that long, but COVID put a wrench in our original plans and then a band member had to deal with a serious, life-threatening illness… '18th to 21st' is a song about the love of music, and about remembering the good times we've all shared together. The lyrics were inspired by a trip our mandolin player took to Boston in 2013. He saw Cock Sparrer, Rancid, Far From Finished, and others on that trip and if you listen closely to the lyrics you'll hear some references to all those bands and more." You can see the video below.

The Last Gang have released a video for "Madness." That's off Obscene Daydreams out via Fat Wreck Chords on September 20. In a press release, singer Brenna Red stated: "“Madness” is different than anything we’ve released. It’s a ‘90s-esque grungy sort of rocker, and the only love song TLG has ever written. It was the second to last demo we introduced during the writing process, and it immediately felt like it was going somewhere. Of course, we had not thought of it being the first single for the album at that time. Simple but catchy, this story of hysterical-lunatic love is a good representation of the diversity of songs on the new record." You can see the video below.
