The Dwarves recently released The Dwarves Concept Album in 2023. They are also about to release the Dwarves Keep It Reel 12-inch. Well, the band is already back at it. They were in the recording studio this weekend, recording tracks for a new album. They stated "recorded 14 drum tracks in a day for a new album coming out later this year." We'll keep you updated.

Today we are very excited to bring you the premiere of the new EP by New York punk rockers Bad Mary! The EP is called Better(er) Days and finds the band revisiting six tracks from their debut album Better Days to celebrate its 10th anniversary. We caught up with bassist Mike Staub and guitarist David Henderson to hear their thoughts on the tracks. Better(er) Days will be out everywhere on July 16 and you can pre-order it right here. Mirrored Fatality have released a video for their new song “(PURGE)ATORY”. The video was directed by the band and carries a warning for photosensitive viewers. The song is off their upcoming album Labuad Meklooq which will be out on July 26 via Get Better Records and Psychic Eye. Mirrored Fatality released their EP ECOCIDE 3URTH in 2022. The Drew Thomson Foundation has released a new song. It is called “Black Jeep” and appears to be a standalone single. It is available digitally now and the lineup that plays on the song is Drew Thomson, Danny Kidd, and Peter Landi. The Drew Thomson Foundation released their EP Fan Letter earlier this year. Last month Newmarket and Barrie-based punk rockers The Readys released their second album I Don’t Know, I’m High, Let’s Just Hit Record and Hope for the Best. The band welcomes you into their world for the next 22 minutes with their metal-infused frenetic punk, hilarious song titles, and signature wit. The 10 tracks find the band talking about defunding the police, dealing with mental health, celebrating their friendship, and examining what it means to get older with some of their best lyrics to date that are at turns sentimental, contemplative, angry, and humourous. I Don’t Know, I’m High, Let’s Just Hit Record and Hope for the Best is out digitally and physically via Tarantula Tapes. Punknews editor Em Moore caught up with lead vocalist Jarod Semple and drummer Dale Semple to talk about the album, working with their friends, which potluck foods reign supreme, and so much more.
