In Memoriam: Steve Albini has passed away

Sadly, iconic engineer and musician Steve Albini has passed away. Albini was 61 and passed away of a heart attack at his recording studio, Electrical Engineering. Albini's band Shellac were preparing to tour- their new album To All Trains is out next week. As ou may know, in addition to his bands Shellac and Big Black, Albini recorded/engineered albums by Nirvana, Pixies, PJ Harvey, Screaming Females, Leftover Crack, F-minus, OM, the Stooges, Jesus Lizard, Oxbow, and many more.

Listen to the new track by Bermuda Squares!

Today we are thrilled to bring you a premiere of the new song by Minneapolis-based Bermuda Squares! The song is called “Robbery” and is off their upcoming album Outsider. Thou: "Unbidden Guest"

Thou have released a new song called “Unbidden Guest”. The song is off their upcoming album Umbilical which will be out on May 31 via Sacred Bones Records. Thou will be touring Australia and New Zealand with Full of Hell in August and will be playing Dark Days Bright Nights Festival in Virginia in September. The band released Hightower in 2021 and released their collaborative album with Emma Ruth Rundle, May Our Chambers Be Full, in 2020. Check out the song below.

The Dreaded Laramie to release new album, share "Life Is Funny" video

The Dreaded Laramie have announced that they will be releasing a new album. It is called Princess Feedback and will be out on July 5 via Smartpunk Records. The band has also released a video for their new song “Life Is Funny” which was directed by the band and features practical effects by Virginity and William Cunningham. The Dreaded Laramie released their EP Everything A Girl Could Ask For in 2022. Check out the video and tracklist below.

Los Angeles-based dance-punk duo Pride Month Barbie have released a video for their new song “Fun”. The video was created by Paradise Pardis. The song is off their upcoming album All The Girls in the Room Say ‘Sorry’ which will be out on June 14 via Get Better Records. Pride Month Barbie released their single “Withheld” in 2023.
